Installation:
Prepare the Area: Ensure the installation area is clean and free of debris.
Apply Sealant: Apply Oatey silicone sealant or plumber’s putty to the bottom of the drain spud flange. Note: Do not use plumber’s putty on ABS components.
Install Drain Spud: Firmly press the drain spud into the tub drain opening.
Attach Drain Elbow: From the bottom of the tub, hand tighten the drain elbow onto the spud. Ensure the elbow outlet is facing out and away from the tub.
Install Overflow Elbow: Insert the overflow elbow through the tub overflow opening and hand tighten.
Fit Pipes: Dry fit pipes to elbows and the sanitary tee to ensure proper fit before final assembly.
Secure Connections: Use appropriate tools to secure all connections and ensure they are watertight.
Test for Leaks: Fill the tub above the overflow inlet and check for any leaks.
